The drought of 2006-07 continues into December entering its 22th month/w Dec. wetter and 
and warmer than normal.  It was +3.9º above normal for the avg. temp and +2.08" surplus for 
the month and +7.47" surplus for the year but there is still a -1.51" deficit from last yr.  
Dec 3rd had a dry cold frontal passage followed by high pressure dominating the weather til
a cold frontal passage in combination with Ex-Olga on the 6th producing benefical rainfall 
(2.15").  A fast moving low pressure area/associated cold front passed overhead on the 21st.
Dry cold frontal passage occurred on the 23rd.  A weak low pressure area and associated cold 
front passage occurred on Christmas Day producing 0.28" of rain.  High pressure dominated 
until late on the 30th with cold frontal passage produced another benefical round of rainfall.

The US Drought Monitor started out as None on Dec 4th, however, it became D0 - Abnormally Dry 
on Dec 11th and this persisted til the end of the month.  The long term drought indicator 
from the CPC analyzed NE Florida as D1 - Moderate Drought at the end of the month (31 Dec).

The highest temp. occurred on the 15th @ 82.4°F.  The lowest temp was 30.5°F on the 5th.  
The highest peak wind of 27 mph occurred during cold frontal passage on the 16th.
