Feb was above normal in temp & rainfall.  The avg. temp was 1.5º 
above normal and +0.95" surplus for the monthly rainfall & yr but there is now a +0.81" 
surplus from last yr.  The 2006-08 Drought is over after 23 months! Through 
Cold frontal passages occurred on 7th, 13th, 18th,23rd & 26th with warm frontal passage on 
21st-22nd and produced significant rainfall total of 4.71".  	


The US Drought Monitor started at DO or Abnormally Dry on 2/5 and persisted until the 19th.  
At the end of the month, the Drought Monitor improved to Nil on the 26th. 
The long term drought indicator from the CPC analyzed NE Florida as D0 - Abnormally Dry at 
the end of the month (1 Mar).


The highest temp. occurred on the 6th @ 83.3°F.  The lowest temp was 28.0°F on the 28th.  
The highest peak wind of 39 mph occurred on the 26th during a thunderstorm.
